Save Your Relationship Save A Pet – Locker’s Florist Fundraising For MADACC

That day is coming in just over a week, the day your entire relationship could be judged on your actions – Valentine’s Day. As men what we do on February 14th can make or break our happiness for weeks or months, so we have to make the right choice of what to do or not do. Luckily there is one sure fire way to five a good gift – give one that means something. That may sound harder than it is, of course it should mean something to the other person, but as long as it has meaning it will be sure to pluck the strings of their heart.

I wrote previously on making heart-healthy choices for the dinner, but there’s still the prospect of a gift. There are many choices and in the end one of the most popular is simply giving flowers. But a simple and typical choice doesn’t have to be mundane. You can amp it up if the gift means something, and for the animal lover in your life there is a great option.

I like to give plants versus flowers since they – and the meaning behind them – will last longer

Locker’s Florist is offering a unique fund raising program online benefit to three different organizations: Friends of MADACC is one of them. Friends of MADACC (Milwaukee Area Domestic Animal Control Commission) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting community awareness and improving the welfare of the nearly 13,000 homeless animals MADACC cares for every year.

If your significant other isn’t an animal lover you can also select ALS Association of WI or Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. To donate to the chosen organization select the product you would like to send, and on the final page of check out be sure to select “This is for a fundraising effort” check box at the bottom of the page and choose one of the three so they receive $2 from every purchase!

There are many other ways to give when you gift, so if these options aren’t appealing take the little bit of effort to look for other options. We wrote about many back in December for the holidays, check out that story for some other ideas.
