Well-Applied, Well-Fed, Well-Read

POV – OnMilwaukee Blogger’s Personal Diet Diary

I like to give a shout out to others that are doing something similar to the mission of Well-Met and over at OnMIlwaukee.com blogger JC Poppe is stepping out of his comfort zone as an urban music blogger to give a personal, poignant, and at times very funny account of his attempts to lose weight. So far he has posted three times about his efforts: Part 1, Part 2, and Part 3.

His first two posts were very personal accounts of mainly why he was doing it if not how. In part 3 we get to hear of some progress and it sounds like he has taken two of the easiest but also in many ways best ways to start – give up fast food and soda. It is amazing what these two things do to us physically and mentally and Poppe gives a good layman’s description of the pitfalls. I encourage you to follow his blog to keep up to date with his progress – and comment on his posts with encouraging messages as well.

I applaud Poppe on both taking the steps to get healthier and also to be public about such a personal thing.
